Enhanced eBooks the Insanely Great Innovation
When I hear friends comment, “I love the feel of a real book in my hand, I just don’t enjoy reading from a digital device,” I reply, “I love real books and ebooks, too.” Please don't misunderstand me, I revel in the feel of traditional printed books as much as you do. Don't you agree, however, that now it's great to have the choice between physical printed books and ebooks, depending on your needs.
I buy printed books to own and to keep on my shelf, to feel the intrigue of turning pages, to put it down on my nightstand and have it waiting for me as I tuck myself into bed. I love buying books to share, or to give away as gifts. I also borrow printed books from the library when I want to save money and I don't plan to reread them anytime soon. I download ebooks when I want them instantly, and more cheaply. When I travel, I can carry a stack of ebooks, without having to schlep heavy books around. I enjoy the special benefits that only ebooks offer. With just a quick flick of my finger I can: search the dictionary, highlight passages, make notes, search for words and phrases within the book, and find information on the Internet. Ironically, now when I read a printed book, I find it annoying to have to interrupt my reading pleasure to thumb back through page after page to find a passage that I want to reread, to stop to pull out a dictionary, or to get on my computer to use the Internet. And now the next thrilling innovation has arrived: Enhanced e-books, which seamlessly integrate video/audio and high definition photographs into the text. There are also enhanced PRINTED books that flow the story from the printed word to video clips. WHAT? HOW? Yes, I swear these books really do exist, and will indeed enhance the reading experience in a meaningful and elegant way. To see for yourself, please go on Amazon.com and search for The Adventures of The Sizzling Six: The Living Treasure. For the ebook version, visit the iTunes store. While you are there, may I suggest that you also download the other free enhanced books form the iTunes book store. If you are moved to do so, I would love to hear your responses.
